My favorite panel from Bleach chapter 477. Many people are debating whether who really jump to protect Ichigo as for my opinion I really don't care as there are really no right basis on either part. I just love how Kubo presented this panel whether it's Rukia or Riruka the act is really noble and admirable.BLEACHΒ© Kubo Tite

Beautiful coloring! I never occurred to me that it wasn't Rukia. Yes, her eyes looked a little weird (like a clock) but Tsukishima and Ichigo also have clock eyes in this chapter and they aren't possessed. I hope this is cleared with the next chapter.

Love the coloring, hate how there's a debate in forums whether Rukia jumped to protect him or RiRuka. Just for fun, I shall post my opinion on this.
Perhaps Rukia did saw Tsukishima attack, wasn't sure what to do, her body moved out her own will by surprise and Riruka pops out and takes the blow. Why I say this
-Because ever since she did that move in the 1st few chapters, she stopped when Ichigo said it's his fight and from then on she never interferes no matter what (she would've yelled "Ichigo" like she usually does).
Based on the arcs before on how she doesn't interfre in the battle, I can say both Rukia and Riruka saved his ass. Rukia for noticing and Riruka for taking action. I really don't know why fans go one or the other on stuff like this?

I don't think it matters either. That expression Ichigo gave below this lovely panel was for RUKIA jumping, he didn't know riruka was or was not moving her.You did a great job on this Seirenn <3 Your coloring skills are lovely.

Well, to give my thoughts on this subject to me it's pretty clear Rukia jumped in front of Ichigo according to her own will because she would protect Ichigo with her life as Ichigo would protect her with his life. The look she has on her face is only natural because she's shocked by Tsukishima's action and afraid she won't make it in time to protect Ichigo. Riruka came out of her body to show that Rukia is not the only one who wants to protect Ichigo with her life.

To me, please dont bite my head off, the expression tells me that Rukia didn't jump by choice it like she is thinking "WTF is happening to my body"

First,i can't understand the theory of Riruka moved Rukias body,when we know NOTHING like that for her ability.
Second.It's not the first time Rukia put her life in danger just to protect Ichigo.So why Rukia COULDN'T do it?
Third.What's the POINT for Riruka,to move Rukia,then to jump to protect her and Ichigo?Nonsense.Or why she had to move Rukias body,and not jump like she did from the begining?
This is Rukia,no matter how certain people DON'T want to ACCEPT it,this is RUKIA.End of story.
Only Kubo can twist that.He can make Rukia say something like "how the hell did that happened and my body moved?" but to be honest it will be ridiculous.Rukia is not like that.
If she sees Ichigo or anyone in danger she will do it.Can you imagine her leaving Tsukishima attack Ichigo before her eyes,and do nothing?

Riruka almost redeemed herself there when she took the sword strike for Rukia and Ichigo. Hopefully she survives.

I love that panel...honestly I think it was both of them. I think that Rukia jumped in front and and Riruka jumped out because she knew it wasn't the special sword, but the one that kills

I bet that a lot of the detractors are saying Riruka because they shit their pants when they saw Kubo started the chapter from Rukia's perspective and like I said before, Ichigo is also THAT who changed the world for Rukia as well. Kubo seems to be making a statement when it comes to the Ichigo and Rukia pairing. At least he is in my opinion. I love that he's showing Rukia's feelings a lot more

it was such a gripping chapter full of emotions, I was so sad to see them all falling

I commented this in a bleach group blog about the new chapter:
"It was thanks to Riruka being inside of rukia that she could hear what Rukia said/thought about Ichigo changing seireitei and also what made Riruka push Rukia's body to protect Ichigo and stop Tsukishima, the look of Rukia's surprised and confused eyes makes me think that she wasn't in control of her body, it was all Riruka's doing from inside her. It was Rukia's faith and admiration for Ichigo that moved Riruka to stand in the way of her own comrade... That's how I saw it 
I think it started with Rukia's thoughts to show how her feelings towards Ichigo reached Riruka to the point of considering Ichigo to be her saviour's saviour, aka Ginjou's savior. I think Riruka was hidden in Rukia to join the battle again at a later moment, but after hearing Rukia's admiration for Ichigo, she changed her mind and protected them instead.

Riruka is one of the fullbringers ^^ The one with the magenta hair. But if you're not updated in the anime or manga you probably don't know her yet.
