Emily forRedPassion has been patiently waiting for this, and I tried my best to make it worth the wait^^ She wanted me to draw her character, Emily in a dress similar to the ones in the 1938 Marie Antoinette. The dress here isn't historically accurate, but it's not supposed to be. None of the dresses in MA were accurate, so I saw no reason to go nuts with this; I just felt like having some fun with it. And don't ask about the floral boder... Just looking at it gives me a headache @___@ Inking the border alone took a week (it was an old border I drew back in May and then never used). I think it'll be a while before I attempt another floral border like this
I want to go back to traditional art for a while. I miss sketching... ;_;I hope you like it RedPassion!

She too skiny and tall. Her portportions are off, and i think you can make better faces. The noses ruins it a bit.

The detail on this is insane! (Insane in a good way, that is!) All the ruffles (especially the trim) on the dress looks like it took quite a while, but it all looks very gorgeous. And I love the flower background! They are very old-fashioned looking, so it goes perfect with your character.

Except... not, because more detailed (therefore better). There's a part of me that just went, "EEEE!!! PRETTY!!!" when I looked at this. ^^ Your gallery is very fun and enjoyable to look at.

The dress seems incongruous with the border, but nevermind that because this is fantastic, wonderful. The flowers are like the very best kind of anime.

Anyways, you did a bang-up job on this, as always. Adrian did the costumes in the Norma Shearer movie, and my God, he certainly never did things by halves, did he? Every dress in that movie is the most exaggerated panniered thing ever, and for some reason most of them have these odd robe a l'anglaise backs. Maybe they thought the Watteau back would just look too strange for Depression-era audiences... they made a lot of random "would Joe Six-Pack in Peoria like this" decisions back then, in the heyday of the studio system. *shakes head*

The flowers are my favorite part. I didn't realize you drew them until I read the description and then I was highly impressed! =O Also, good job with the shoulders. ^_^ They're perfect.
My only critiques are on the collar bone and the breasts:
The collar bone is a bit big for her frame and too low. The collar bone meets the shoulders just after that muscle that curves down from your neck... At the beginning of the ball that's your shoulder... I hope you understand what I mean. @_@
The breasts are perfect, except they're placed a little low.
The waist is a bit narrow, but that's stylistic. =d And it looks good with that dress... I don't know if they used shaping corsets during that time period, but meh. The stylization looks good. With her petite hands, it makes her look soft and dainty. ^_^

I see what you mean about the collar bone and breats *must work on that next time* But they did use shaping corsets during the 18th century. Actually, all historical corsets used to shape the body to some degree. 18th century corsets were pretty much cone-shaped, so they would look like that. And then on top of that it's stylized
