Here is a finished illustration for comet.
I started this commission last year around my convention time and I had a lot to figure out while working on this. Struggled a lot with choosing colors and values.
In the end I had over 31 hours of footage to go through and I still have no idea how I ended up with 12 minutes for the process video.
It was pure joy for me to work on this special piece.

This piece is really stunning! The colors and contrast are shaded so beautifully in a way that it shows clear dimension and the true power the universe has. The way you painted the galaxies show a very impressive understanding of digital media and color, and the textures make it look like a photograph. I really love that the path the creature is on is broken up, making it fit more into the scene as a whole.
Really, the only critique I would say is to keep an eye out for the harsh color contrast of the two galaxies. It looks really gorgeous, and I think it may help strengthen the composition if there was slightly more transition from the orange to the blue.
Overall, this looks incredible and you should be very proud of it!

Seka, I have stared at this image for days, and I still can't get over how much I am utterly in love with it. It's like you took a part out of my mind where I go to escape when the world seems to be turning on its head, and put it into a drawing. It feels like a piece of my soul is in this art.
First off, I am in love with the colors you used for this image. Soft oranges and bright blues are one of my favorite combinations, and the purple in there really helps the color transition. The purples themselves are beautiful, too! It makes the scene seem calmer, despite all the vibrant colors around it.
The composition is another thing that I adore. You've positioned everything so perfectly that your eyes know exactly where to focus, and the stones create a clear line of sight to Blade himself, who also looks perfect, by the way. You got his anatomy down so well! Even the differing fur lengths are exactly as I imagined him when I designed him. And I always worry about him standing out in a piece too much, due to his unnatural coloring, but he looks like he truly belongs here! I can't get over how well you balanced the soft shading and cell shading with him.
Also, you are a goddess of drawing galaxies and nebulae. I have never seen anyone manage to draw them as well as you do. They are so realistic that it looks like one of those photographs you see astronomers taking through their telescopes! And I remember us talking about how the orange bit looked like water splashing around the stones, but it still amazes me whenever I look at it. The amount of detail you put into all of those clouds is incredible.
And speaking of detail, those rocks are shaded and lit so well! I mean, everything is shaded and lit well, but I know I struggle with dramatic lighting on rocks without making them look actually shiny. They look smooth, but not slippery, so Blade does not have to worry about slipping on a space rock LOL.
Also, mentioning the timelapse: I was so happy watching it that I almost cried in public XD The music you chose for it is just so perfectly fitted to the overall mood of this image, and it's so cool to see the process of something this detailed coming together!
Man, I don't think I will ever be able to fully communicate how meaningful this image is to me, and how much I truly love it. Would it be okay for me to have a print made of it? I would love to look at this whenever I walk into my room. It has this sense of "home" that the real world lacks sometimes. Like this is where my soul goes when things get rough.
I have said it many times before, but I am going to say it again: Thank you, Seka, for this gorgeous art, and for being such a great person to converse with while it was coming together. I don't think I'll ever be able to find all the words that describe my love for this art

You're able to just give your galaxy paintings that mystical feeling I think anybody has when thinking about the galaxy or space in general. Those wispy clouds that seem to lead into nothingness and then that star that is exploding (I'm taking a guess sorry if that's wrong) it's gorgeous. It adds to the effect of a mystical feeling, almost dreamlike even. I wanna say more but I'm just at a loss for words ;-;
