Description Sophie Lancaster and Robert Maltby.
Two "goths" brutaly beaten because of who they chose to be and what they chose to wear.
I only spoke ot sophie once,
this isnt how i wanted to remember her,
She died after her and her boyfriend where brutaly beaten at stubby lee park in bacup (where i live)
Robert survied as she saved him from being beaten even more.
She took the beating and never woke up.

I simply have to this. I knew another of Sophie's friends, her name was Catherine. She worked in the same place as me for a time, and when she found out Sophie had been killed she was totally devastated. I understood her pain, to be bullied for how you dress is one thing, to be beaten and murdered, that's different.

I totally agree with what you say here, this is never how anyone would wish to remember one of their friends. To quote from my poem you recently fav'd, of the two that went down only one came back, how we wish it could have been two...
