well its in there personality, there by nature more violent then average domestic dogs. its not there fault, thats just the way they are

That'd be like saying "Lets let a dangerous animal species die out, because y'know, we raise and breed them to be dangerous."

That doesn't mean anything. An elephant is dangerous cause it can sit on you, but chances of that happening are rare.
The reason they're dubbed as the most dangerous is because people breed specific ones to kill/fight. The ones who aren't bread for that are generally very sweet dogs.
I worked at a pound for a few weeks and most of the dogs that went there were pits, but they were all very very sweet besides maybe one or two.

Now you are comparing a wild animal to domestic. These are two totally different things and should be separated as such.
And no, there is pretty much a 100% chance you'll get mauled since you were dumb enough to try and tame an animal from the wild.
