I stumbled across a series ofvery - um- interesting magig cards from [link]
Was a big fan myself back in the old days, so I
decided to do my own hommage to this great game.
This was totally fun to do - and a good practice
for working with colors in photoshop.
She looks a lot like Eve Ellis for no particular reason,
and I tried the style of Douglas Shuler, one of the original Magic illustrators, for a most authentic feeling.

My buddies and I are planning on making a mode of play built around this card
Basically add:
1. If you controll "Damsel in Distress", you cannot lose. If you do not controll "Damsel in Distress", You cannot win.
2. Thinking about either making her a) Indestructible with Shroud
b) Shroud with "'Damsel in Distress' is always tapped"
c) "'Damsel in Distress' cannot attack or block. If a player causes damsel in distress to be removed from the field of play
(Sent to the graveyard, exiled, or removed from the game) that player loses."
This is all still really rough, so if you have any ideas msg me!

Nice concept.
I had the idea of several damsel cards with slightly different abilities.
Like making "damsel" a new creature type.
Also thought about creating "villain" cards, that benefit from its player tapping or taking control of damsel cards.

By buddies and I play all the time and we are exploring EDH right now but I like checking out alternate modes every once in a while.

I'm not sure of the wording on this card. Part of it reads that only the active player may steal her (and only if that player is male). Read another way, any player may be the thief. Also ambiguous is if this is triggered once per player (where active player gets final choice to take her back). I read it as one of two ways in Oracle text:
At the beginning of an opponent's upkeep, that player may pay (2). If he or she does, that player gains control of Damsel in Distress.
--The damsel moves slower, often being in control of the player that can't be attacked.
(2): Gain control of Damsel in Distress. Any player may play this ability. Play this ability only during an upkeep.
--The damsel may be stolen several times in a turn, but only during the upkeep step. I like this one more.

Holding a sexy damsel as hostage is a strong way to
block your enemy, after all.

you have definitely succeeded in getting the flavour of the old cards. This cards fits perfectly into the Arabian Nights expansion ( the very first expansion ) The text font and mana symbols are spot on. As a fan of Douglas Shuler's artwork, you have done a spot on imitation.

Just thought white quite fitting for a virtuous damsel, and it matches nicely with her cleave gag, too
