Wow, thank you. I'm really glad you like that! This has been a labor of love (so much so that I'm even hesitant to admit how much because I don't want to jinx it before it's finished) and it's nice to hear that it is paying off.
Composition is definitely something I have been trying to keep in mind with recent pictures (not that I've posted most of them, of course) so I'm very glad this one is coming together.
I'm not very good at drawing animals, but I didn't copy any photos - just looked at a whole bunch to get some of the idea and the details right. So I'm proud if that turned out well. Definitely not my strong suit, but I tried!
Thank you again!

You're welcome.
I do hope that all goes well with the rest of it. Good luck!

You know a lot about what wolf-like doggies are supposed to look like, so if they make the cut with you, then phew! I didn't actually copy photos, I just used a whole bunch as references and kind of worked it out on my own from there... so I thought there was probably more room for error, but at least a less stiff result (potentially).
This is what happens when CERTAIN PEOPLE unintentionally challenge me to improve my composition. Or at least to consider composition when I draw. I think that it has made a huge difference in my art as actual pieces of art rather than just scribble illustrations of a character.
It's supposed to be a very large, low, luminous moon, not a sun. So the trees will kind of have an otherworldly blue-white glow. Good idea/bad idea?

This is my color test for the moonlight... I thought about being realistic, but then I was like ... no... it's a silly fairy tale picture and I'm going to make it make me happy. So this is probably about what I'm going to do with it. It's not quite blue enough for moonlight, and I think she is randomly more lit than she would be, but I'm okay with that. Just wanted to show it to you, though!

Mm, yeah, doesn't really feel moonlight-y to me, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah, another friend said that, so I'm going to tone down the saturation when I color it and make it kind of bluer. Or something. I don't even know at this point...

You should try playing with the Image> Adjustments> Hue/Saturation thingie. I play with it all the time!

Keiiii, you're so smart. What would I do without you? XD
Running off to do that now...
