My somewhat garishly colored entry for the Knite-Fliers contest(read more here )
I much preferred it when it was black and white... coloring is not my forte...
His name is Meilin, which, apparently, means plum grove. I thought it was kinda nice sounding...
Meilin reluctantly joined the kite group after a friend pestered him about it enough. However, he was too lazy to learn how to fly a kite properly, so he uses a miniature, makeshift hot air balloon (seen here dangling from the tree.)
He is addicted to green tea, and always carries candles, matches, tea bags and related china around with him so he can make himself a cup when there is time to kill.
He wears tattered black pants (which have unraveled to be knee high shorts), hates shoes, and will never wear more than one color if he can help it. He keeps his bangs straight and knot free, while the rest of his hair is tangled and unruly.

orange pekoe is kinda like the basic tea. It's a deep orange/brown color, usually enjoyed with cream and sweetener.
I had a wonderful chocolate chai once though... that might be my fave.
Oh! and my family and I have been searching for a vanilla pear tea that one of us had once... it's become the sort of loch ness monster of the tea world to us.
I have too many tea stories.
