The raven-haired man leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her lips. She stared at him dumbfounded.

“Well, we might have kissed and stuff but I’m not into relationships and this kind of things. It’s just too much trouble. I told him and he started laughing.”

“Be mine.”
“But…” He pulled her in his arms and buried his face in her hair.
“I need you. Only you.”
She melted.

“Okay, okay, we’re in a relationship. But it’s not like it’s serious or anything. We’re together for as long as we’re having fun together and that’s it.”

“Happy 10th anniversary, love.” The brilliant smile shined over her whole world.

“Do you remember the guy I was crushing on throughout high school? He’s in town and asked me to meet him! I wonder how my life would have been if we had got together back then…”

“That’s weird. He said that we should meet up at some point but he never got back to me…”
“The guy from your high school?”
“Yeah.”
“I heard that he’s already moved to Antarctica.”
“What?”
He smiled innocently.

“He wants a dog! But pets are a massive responsibility! I don’t think I want such a commitment! Not to mention that I prefer cats…”

An Akita puppy slept peacefully on the couch, a tiny striped kitty sprawled on its back.

“I just don’t want to get married! Why is that so weird? We’re fine the way we are right now, why should we push things? And I hate how everyone’s throwing massive wedding parties as if marriage is just something you brag about!”

He waited for her in front of the City Hall. Only their closest friends and family were present during the small ceremony.

“I don’t want children. I never liked children anyway. I don’t want to sacrifice either my life or my precious time with my husband. I’m just too selfish to do something like this.”

Sparkling hazel eyes looked back at her, a tiny hand grasping at her finger. Her husband hugged her from behind and stared at their son with adoration.
