*Edit* this was originally typed really quickly, and I left out the tech-related details because I was in a rush... but, basically, this piece was mostly me expirimenting with the layer-style drop-down box in PSE1. melikes the overlay one ^.^v (and sorry to those of you who have this appear on their messages twice--there was a typo in this that was bugging the hell out of me. And i also wanted to make it clear that this is a shounen-ai, despite both of these charas probably being amongst the femmiest of all the characters in this entire sequence.)Suan-kun and one of his avatars. Who is dead by the time even the middle (which is the first, chronologically) part of the set he's from takes place.
..."One of his avatars" doesn't even begin to describe their relationship...

It's so pretty...that's the prettiest shounen-ai I've ever seen (and not just because they're femme, but because they're very...tender)!
A lot of shounen-ai kind of scares me and is occaisionally violent, so I tend to avoid it, but this is just lovely. I love how you've made it so loving and not just lust or something less endearing. Brilliant.

heh... that's something that actually bothers me about slashart, too. It's often a bit too... idunno. Porny. And such. I mean, okay, so you have that kind of thing for straight art, too, and I'm not against it, despite not being into it personally... to each their own.... >.>... but the ratio of that to other kinds of couple-art in slash is a lot bigger. Slash art tends to always be either uber-hot or uber-cute. I'm trying to add a bit more to the not-really-either categories XD

...yeah. As long as you're not doing odd slashy things to straight characters (please no Carmella/Nita or Kit/Darryl--LEGOLAS IS SUPPOSED TO BE STRAIGHT! HE'S NOT IN LOVE WITH GIMLI! *pant*) I'm totally OK with that. And it's still an awesome picture.

Poor, poor, Tolkein... I wonder what he'd think of his fandom if he were alive today...
as for YW... most of the alternate pairings... alternate or "alternate"... are so ridiculously improbable as to be dismissed by the fandom really early on, or so ridiculously WRONG that no one even wants to think about them (in such a small fandom, anyway...). I mean, there are only about four pairings that have ANY probability at all, one of which is the standard male-lead/female-lead one that appears in practically every fandom that even HAS a male and female lead. myah.
The only slashy one that has any fandom-friendliness is T/C, but they're based on real people, so it's best to leave 'em alone...

What four pairings would that be that you were saying? I'd say Nita/Kit, Ronan/Carmella (you read the excerpts), and Dairi/Roshaun (my new favorite pairing!).

On a slightly weird note, have you ever seen "As You Like It" by Shakesphere performed? It's awesome and funny and romantic. And has a cool female lead. That man was WAY ahead of his times.
