Looks pretty cool in a non-3D version!

3D version...umm...dunno...visual focus is more on the curvy gap created rather than on 'e'. Anyways, wish you best of luck for the contest

the logo is very nice ... but the font you used does not match ... i think you should try a different one, maybe one that is more readable ... but in my opinion you have a good chance to win the contest with that
