Rampant Redeux
“Avada Kedavra….”
He screamed it out loud, again, as he had so many times before…
“I… I cannot endure this….” His moans and broken speech filled the dim room.
He shrieked into the dawn air… Albus tried to sooth this reoccurred bout without much success… The Nightmare was deeply seated in Severus’ subconscious.
The emotion cruel and raw… and it would not abate…
“I am sorry Severus… regrettably, I see my mistake now… I should never have had subjected you to this… You suffer what no Wizard should have to…
And now sadly... I can do nothing to ease your anguish…”
Severus twisted and turned in the linen, He fought and waved his long arms against Albus who tried to keep him still…
“Albus… W- Why did you make me do this…”
“Oh Severus… please forgive me…”
“What… Forgive you?…” His face contorted with ferocious pain… He writhed in his tortured state…
“Forgive you… How can I forgive you… when I cannot forgive myself, you mad bastard…”
Poppy Pomfrey rushed into the dark room… She had heard the wild shrieks and the mad babbling… Severus continued his conversation for another moment before
his reverie subsided… He stilled finally, quieted and slowly began to breath with ease… He was a damp motionless black form in the tangle of the bedding…
Poppy sighed… wishing only that Albus could be here to help Severus at this, his hour of need….

Powerful as always. I really love the color and texture you gave Severus's tortured face, and the lack of color in the ghostly Albus. A ghost? Legillimans from a painting? Or a manifestation from Severus's own tortured mind, the part that knows that Albus would not want him hurt like this? Who can say...
