That I didn't know, but Im glad to hear of course. The big city is... big, dirty, filthy and simply marvellous. The food is still amazing and continuingly impressing me.
I even tried to get a taco, however I am pretty sure that what I ended up with was far less of a taco than it should have been. My search continues.

I think my dad lived in Berlin or somewhere in Germany for a few years long, long ago. I just remember that he really liked the country and wanted to go back - but he never was able.

You don't know how badly I want to visit The U.S.. I do, but it costs a fortune from Europe. The flight, the shelter, food... And then you want to see a lot, experience a lot. Which always eats up so much money on the side. If I'd want to pay a visit, I'd need a budget of easily several thousand euros. Which I don't have and I probably won't be having any time soon :/

Trying not to be disrespectful, I will rule out you could be kidding and assume that that's what happened. Which indeed is very tragic, I am sincerely sorry about that. Must have been incredibly horrible to deal with as a child.
Yep, we don't have so much of a bear overpopulation here, but there are plenty other dangerous things. Like bavarians. Or hipsters.

You could say, in English, that it was "un-bear-able" if I "paws" for a minute to think about it.
Okay so maybe that is not totally accurate. But he did live there for a few years.
And for the record, Bavarian hipsters are far more ferocious and, I hear, half as clean.

You know my first thought was "he's kidding", but then I thought, what if I laughed about that and it turned out to be true? I mean, I wouldn't know what tragic things happen to people all the time. I'm sure there are men who were attacked by wild animals and died. You gotta really know someone or at least hear the intonation to judge if it's just funny bullshit or if they're actually being serious.
I can't confirm or deny if bavarian hipsers lack of hygiene. Never been personally up close to one of them. Whenever I see them walk by though I try not to look. Because that would make them feel like they've accomplished something by their hipsteria.
