No, draenei do not have brown skin. They do have black skin, but a lot of artists use brown instead of black because black makes the character's features hard to see. In fact, one of my favorite artists on another website always draws their dark elves with brown skin (though everyone knows they have black skin) for that very reason. I agree about the position of the white one's tail, and the size of the hooves, but the fur is a nice touch if you ask me. There is such a thing as artistic license. I think you did a great job senny.

Black skin is not BLACK at humans, either... but the ebony/gray like color is very different from that brown.
I just pointed out the mistakes.
If you like those mistakes, that's your thing, but it does not make my post any less true.

Let me try to break this down.

Hooves & Tail: Mistakes
Fur & Skin: Artistic License

Just because Blizzard presents the races a certain way in game does not mean we artists are bound by some sort of law to draw them exactly the same way.

It seems that we are not going to agree, and that's fine. But just because one person says that something is wrong with a picture or that it's bad doesn't make it true. It's all a matter of opinion, just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Now if everyone that posted, or at least two-thirds of them had said the same thing, that would be different.

Also, expecting perfection is folly, as no one has ever been or will ever be perfect. There, I have said my peace on this matter. I have no intention of continuing further and turning it into an argument, or worse, a flame war.

Rule of Constructive Criticism: Two goods for every bad. I see four bads, and then some generalized statement that's supposed to make me feel better. I'll have you know, the person this was drawn for loved my giant hairy-hooved brown Draenei with a tail growing out of her hip.

Lol you are seriously angry at me now?
If I say ,,great job btw" it means everything else looks good, I just didn't state them individually like ,,the white one's face is adorable", even if I think it is.
Don't get so mad at critique, I just wanted to help so you can avoid mistakes next time. ,,LOL good job" would've been a better comment?

Hehe thanks! Draenei have some nice body curves though. Blood Elves are so... stick-figure. So bad, in fact, that most artists I've seen that draw them (myself included) take huuuge artistic license and add all sorts of padding there in WoW there is none. Still looks great, but if you were to really draw a Blood Elf... you would be using a lot of straight lines. >.>;

I know, playing a draenei is a joy for the eyes. Blood elves just look so...undernuished...
Yes, I agree, the additional padding is very much needed, but then the disappointment when you go back playing after drawing your character...
However, the Blood Elf anatomy is much more human, therefore goddamn easier for me to draw, Draenei legs are a kiler... bah, why can't the Blood Elves look like a Draenei withouth those hard-to-draw hooflegs???
