Binny's ears and tail always seemed to be very heavy, at least to me. It would then make sense that it's hard, if not impossible for her to swim.

well the ears are like really light actually since its all floppy thin cartilage but the tail is all muscle/fat for climbing purposes, but like tupb would be a great swimmer since he's got a larger mass i guess and is floaty and also doesnt have floppy ears in the way or a large tail to worry about
