Description
Although this piece is not surreal exactly, there is a definate feel of a dream-like state, so I decided to put it in the surrealist category. I was fortunate in capturing this shot, especially with a digital rather than film camera, the way it is with the tip of the tree almost perfectly encapsulating the ray of light from the sun (that was setting at the time). This is nothing to do with my skill (of lack of!) as a photographer, but rather the beauty of nature itself, and our ability to see it. This piece just reminds me how lucky I am..."may all your dreaming fill up the empty sky"
