Description
Simba secretly struck out on his own from Timon and Pumbaa to prove to them that he could take care of himself. However, his little day out alone took a turn for the worst when his ears picked up a sharp hiss from afar. He soon found Joka the purple python slithering straight his way to prove him dead wrong. Emphasis on "dead" as the serpent struck his prey with a very swift tackle.
The lion cub couldn't escape his ensnarement and was cocooned all over within Joka's constricting coils. The overwhelming grip was painful enough but his throat was soon squeezed nearly shut. Simba's breathing soon became barely audible wheezing, his cheeks both puffed up by the figurative and literal noose around his neck. It wasn't since his father's death that he felt so utterly helpless.
Joka took sadistic pleasure by purposefully holding back the full strength in his squeeze, seeing just how much punishment his prey could take before succumbing. An arrogant lion like Simba deserved to be toyed with in his final moments. It was his little appetizer, a show before the main course was served. The sight of Simba's puffed cheeks turning as purple as he was was the real cherry on top.
Soon enough, Timon called out for his feline friend all too casually. He couldn't see Simba's suffering from beyond the foliage and was oblivious to the hacking wheezes amongst the Jungle ambience. Joka taunted his little kitten by pointing out how it might not be too late for his friend to get help if he could only pay attention. Just a look past the brush and Simba would practically be home freed.
