I'm overjoyed to be able to tell you that the cataract surgery in my left eye went flawlessly. Only thing is it changed from nearsighted to farsighted. So I need weak glasses while reading and at my computer, but what strength I will need can still change during the next few days. The operation itself is a pretty weird affair: they're poking around in your eye for about half an hour but you don't see a thing of what is done. Psychedelic color play during though Now is clear that the cataract filtered out much light and color too, so it's a very bright world for e now! And every time I switch on the TV I look for my glasses before realizing I don't need them any more.

So no more "night fright" and at the coming checkup I'll ask when the cornea transplant and cataract surgery in my right eye can take place. Really curious how being able to see properly with both eyes will turn out!
