Description Cataclysm for BelugaDoesArt
My part for the Cetacean Secret Santa, hosted by OrkyDorky

I found this quite pleasant to work on, and I feel like I learned a new thing or two. Orcas are always a pleasure to paint!
Used a few reference photos from google, textures used from my own photos.
This is probably the last piece I'm going to finish this year.

Very cool! I'm happy to hear it was a pleasant painting to work on, lovely how that sometimes just happens. I can safely say it looks like one too I very much like the colouring style too. Not sure what's so particular about it but perhaps it's very effective simplicity or solidity (not quite sure what the right word is!) makes it stand out in the best way. I also like the little bubble vortex from the water's surface to his dorsal fin! A little part of surface physics that's often forgotten in paintings.
