Description
Lotus wasn't always the esteemed paramour of Hadriel Lavandros. As a child he was sold into slavery and castrated. He endured years of abuse, preparing him for a bleak existence in the Chamyreen pleasure houses, or as the property of some wealthy noble.It's at a high-end slave market where Lotus first encounters Hadriel, and that brief chance meeting changes everything.
From being mere chattel auctioned off to the highest bidder, he suddenly finds himself thrust into a foreign world, alone, but free.
5 years later he seeks out the man who bought his freedom, looking for answers...
This is a scene I've been meaning to depict, one way or another, ever since I started playing with these characters again. I really didn't know how to tackle it, and I ended up fighting this piece a lot. At this point I'm just glad that it's over and I can move on to other things ._.

He's in the process of undressing in this picture. I chose to depict him like that because he was still very young when this scene took place, and I was not comfortable with the idea of drawing a naked 14-year-old.

He's only been castrated recently so OF COURSE the poor kid is shy! Nobody but the surgeon who did it and a few fellow recovering eunuchs will have seen him NAKED before.
But if they did a good job then after a few months it will look like he was BORN a eunuch.
And yes he should be displayed nude as that's why he will will cost 3 or 4 times more than were he uncastrated and they will want to check
If he was an African kid and 'cut clean' he would fetch even more....
As he wont or obviously can't get an erection let alone having sex (that comes later) I don't see any reason why DA should censor a naked eunuch - black or white !!

Oh no, he's actually been a eunuch for some time here, he was castrated before the onset up puberty. But he has spent years in training before being auctioned off. With his training, he would no doubt be used to people seeing him naked, so I don't think he's necessarily shy, but it's definitely a very vulnerable moment.
He was raised specifically as a high-end pleasure slave, trained in music, dance and sexual acts, so with his unique looks and fine training he would sell for a high price.
And yes, of course they'd want to see him without his clothes, not just to guarantee his status as a eunuch, but just to see the general shape of his body, to detect any potential scars or blemishes or other "defects", since he's specifically desired for his beauty.
The DA rules state:
"For submissions depicting nudity, whether photographic or fictional, DeviantArt policies require that the model be eighteen (18) years of age or older and content depicting the explicit nude subjects under this minimum age will be removed by the DeviantArt staff."
It's also something I'm not sure I am comfortable depicting in a visual medium. I don't mind depicting any kind of naked human body, regardless of gender, body type or condition, as long as it's an adult, but making explicit drawings of naked children does make me uncomfortable, so you could say that his clothes here are as much about my comfort as they are his.

He is very lucky indeed!
In his culture, he would have likely ended up in a pleasure house or as someone's personal concubine, until he's too old or diseased, at which point he'd probably be sold off again where he could end up in a servant position or at a lowly brothel. He could have never imagined gaining his freedom and finding someone who loves and respects him, and through his position, he even gains a fair amount of status and power of his own.
