This bounced around tumblr quite a bit, so I thought I'd share it here, too. I really thought I'd come home from this movie wanting to draw Thor, or possibly Hawkeye, but Mark Ruffalo is now my favorite Bruce Banner, hands down, and he was also my favorite of the group in a really awesome, unprecedented way. I will be seeing Avengers again, soon!PLEASE NOTE: No spoilers in comments, please, guys. I am sure lots of people may browse this that want to see the movie, still, and I don't want it spoiled on my picture! It's most likely I'll mark any spoiler-y content as spam, so fair warning. (I do, of course, appreciate your commentary, though... just can't be ruinin' blockbusters, you understand.)

Oh, yeah, Marc Ruffalo is totally awesome in that role!
His play gives this character such a great contrast and personality. None of the other guys who played Bruce Banner brought him "alive" in such a way.

I have never really been a fan of the hulk, but I loved him in the avengers, and I can't stop watching his scenes. Never even heard of this actor until now and I think he's awesome!

I love how the Hulk is coming out of Bruce's shadow. Very clever and I love how you drew the characters.

I think what Edward Nordson really had going for him, is that he did angry well and the looked like Bruce Banner from the old comics. However I think Mark Ruffalo did an outstanding job, being more in-character and capturing that awkward nerdy essences of the character.
The expressions you portray in this peace really fits the timid scientist but I do have to say I feel HULK's head is a bit big. Yes his head is bigger then Bruce's but when the craters made HULK they intentionally made his head seem smaller to give the body a more massive feel. Other then that it's an excellent peace and I hope to see more in the future.

Yep- so far, Tony was my favourite. Then I watched The Avengers, and.. Mark Ruffalo aka. Bruce Banner aka. Hulk took his place..
Although, both of them TOGETHER is awesomeness in its purest and best form.

haha I agree. In one of the Avengers interviews I saw on YouTube (and back when the movie Zodiac was finished) Mark mentioned how Robert was like an idol actor to him. So having that relationship really helped with how Bruce was so timid and Tony was confident, their friendship could grow both on and off the set. So working together, it seemed naturally great.

I find it strange that I watched Zodiac once, and I didnΒ΄t even notice Mark Ruffalo as a great actor. He was in so many movies IΒ΄ve seen (although mostly not in main roles) and I was too dumb to realize
I just really, really hope Mark will at least have a cameo or minor plot in Iron Man 3, and get his own movie (of course, Stark has to appear in it, too

He gave a new life to this character. I didn't like the Hulk very much before this movie. Now he is totally my favourite. And your drawing is really cool. I like the look on Bruce's face and the fact that Hulk's hand is nearly grabbing Bruce's head. It is really cool cause Bruce struggles with the Other Guy in his mind when he wants to come out and when the Hulk wins over it is like "he has won his head". I hope my gibberish makes sense to you. I love you for this picture. Great job.

i think same as you! Ruffalo was ending be my fav banner/hulk and character in the film! so quite, and fear of turn into Hulk but at the same time i dont know i just love him!
