Rob Lucci! When the poo are they going to come out with an official Leopard figurine, I wonder? I'm looking at you, Banpresto.My still-only-partially-finished Leopard Lucci, before and after, done for a Ceramics class I took. Painted in Acrylics. The scars on his back are there, but as you can see, I haven't painted his arm tattoos on yet.
I made his tail separately and there's a groove in his backside where I'm supposed to attach it, but after hastily finishing this guy in time for critique I never got around to doing it. Both his parts are still lying on my table. OTL Curse chem finals.
Sorry the pictures are so bad. I don't have a giant fancy camera like some people do, so these were taken by my laptop webcam and my phone. /gets slapped

i love this! can i ask what type of clay you used and glaze? did you put the acrylics on before or after the kiln. im really inspired to try clay after seeing it can be used like this.

I used pretty gritty regular clay (as opposed to porcelain or the such). I did not use glazes because it is not as easy to achieve a precise application due to how runny it is, so I settled for acrylics, which should only be applied after the kiln firing because otherwise it would melt off. It probably wouldn't be very safe to apply water-based acrylics to dried clay before firing anyway since the clay cracks so easily. I did this in an introductory class, so before starting it might be a good idea to plan out how thinly you want to sculpt your piece due to structural deficiencies in dried clay. *_*
