The Black Fox is a notorious demon lord who has been terrorizing for many eons, but the entity that is the Black Fox has undergone many incarnations across time. Many times when the demon lord was presume slain the power of the Black Fox scatters about and are adsorb into new vessels who would hunt each other down. Eventually the power would come together to bring out a new Black Fox once again. This repeated many times till the Divine Church knowing this choose to seal the maou away instead of slaying it. The process effectively sealed the maou until the sealing item was destroyed allowing the chance for Black Fox to revive again.
