Veeery nice!! Me likes teh pose!! Well...I think kipinae touched all the things I was gonna talk about ^-^;; I love the hair, btw! I'd just say make the clothing seem a bit more fluid and look at the left arm/shoulder/armpit area, then you've got it! Beautifully done! I'd love to see this colored X3

First of all, nice job on the pose - looks good. He just seems to lack the left shoulder. o.o His arm is attached straight to his chest, you see?
Also, the 'hemline' (can't find any better word for it, I hope you know what I mean XD) of his pants bothers me, it seems to lack something I can't figure out...Maybe see some refs of some samurai pictures (I bet Hyung-Tae Kim has plenty of refs for you) and see how it's done? The clothing seems overall stiff otherwise as well. I understand you angularity on faces, but on clothing that doesn't work. :3
This has potential in it, though. Looking forward to see how handle the rest. ^_^
