Description Peter Cushing as Governor Tarkin in the first of George Lucas' blockbusters. The pose and composition (seated and pondering) were inspired by a statue, and image of which I found when doing a Google search for Peter Cushing when trying to think of how to caricature him. Sometime in the future I will attempt a drawing of Cushing's Van Helsing versus Christopher Lee's Dracula in this Hirschfeld style.

Grand Moff Tarkin! wee! he should have played a bigger part, i agree, cause he had a certain authority to him.

This is fantastic! Absolutely! It's rare to find good Star Wars fan art from the original series! Especially of Tarkin. Which is a shame as he was a pretty cool character for one so short lived. I think you have done a brillliant job with his caricature; and am looking forward to seeing the future Van Helsing drawing!
