This was my submission for 's Anime Angels artbook, which I actually did sometime last december. I figured that everyone else was going to do cute anime girls with wings, so I decided to try to see if I could get away with doing something much darker and in some ways, more relevant to the original prompt.I'll let you figure it out for yourself

Mmmph you know how to use the yellowy lighting really nicely in a painting! Ahh, love the subtle edge of the wing there... almost blends in, gives a great sense of the brightness. I really like how you can strip a figure down to blocks of colour and shadow, it's super effective.

darn I was looking for artbooks to be a part of not long ago
I really like the shading on the left wing.

I got invited to this one through Fanimecon, last year. The other artbooks I've participated in have either sent me notes or emails after finding me through this website or others. This one is the only one I know of that has actually gotten published. I'm not sure what to say to someone looking for one! Usually getting artists is not the hard part for them, though, it's the publishing process.
