I drew this for ~GraceNoteAlice for the Secret Santa over at RaisedFromPerdition. She very politely asked for Dean and Cas, kissing or close proximity, any theme/ season and highschool au but not necessarily teens (she also asked for shirtless but un-raunchy and unfortunately my head could not consolidate those two ideas). So i brainstormed for a while and came up with this idea:

Work Christmas Party! History Teacher Cas. Sports Teacher Dean. Held in the gym with booze and music and lights a few weeks after school has gone out for the summer (because the school board are cheep bastards). Cas is wearing a tan argyle vest with blue, white and black panels, white shirt blue tie (maybe glasses too). Dean is wearing a Santa hat, pants and jacket. Story happens here, dean and cas meet, chat stuff happens. Cas follows dean into the hallway outside the gym. They can still hear the music but they are completely alone.

Dean says “Are we really going to slow dance?” Cas gives no reply as they do “Really?” still no reply. Dean kind of gets into it and is enjoying being lulled by the music “You know I always had a thing for you. Saw you around but…never *insert something meaningful here*” but he can’t let the lameness of slow-dancing go “(it’s just) if I’d known you were a girl I would have told you earlier I don’t swing that way-”

Castiel catches his mouth mid-sentence and they kiss. Music swells. End scene.

However no matter how much i loved this idea i ended up having MANY more shifts at work then i expected to have and sadly had to do drawings instead. I will colour that argyle sweater one day though. i swear it.
