This is my contest entry in *AKIMOTO-TSUBAKI 's contest
and today is deadline so I guess it's the last entry x'D
How I got the idea:
Just walked through the kitchen listening to the song and in the intro, before the lyrics begun this plopped in my mind :3
and for me this song is says you should never stop hoping, you can be saved by miracle ~ and if your drowning in the dark someone can come and bring you back to the light. Everytime in every situation <3
Hope I got it right ;w; I just thought about the singer of the song singing to her <3 and I can't help but thinking about light and sprakles when hearing the word miracle <3

In my opinion, this is one of your best pieces so far. You have combined many techniques, being colouring, shading, textures, stacked layers for atmosphere, etc. The overview is amazing and shows how much improvement you have made over time.
The side of the face, as well as the way the hair looks in the water and the difference between open eyes and closed eyes in the copied background layer are what I like the most about the way the character was drawn. The clothing could get some extra watery effect, right now they look too much like clothes would when they aren't soaking wet. Most of the proportions seem alright, I only think the feet and legs could use some improvement.
The background is simple yet fitting for the picture. At the first glance, it looks like there's a busy and complex background, while in fact, the textures only made it seem that way, and I think that takes skill. I find it difficult to see what is happening at the right of the picture, behind the feet, and if that is part of the character or part of the background.
The colouring has been done, as in most of your work, in a very special and unique way. You have a great style of colouring and shading going, so I'd say keep that up! One thing that bothers me is that the pants look more like a whole lot of colours stacked, rather than yellow pants with a blue watery texture added over it. The light coming from the top of the picture is what makes it all so interesting.
Altogether, keep up the good work! You're definitely getting somewhere.

Wonderful background! I always like seeing underwater and night time pictures!
It's nice how we see this "water patern! on her face and i love how the light falls into the water!
Maybe you should add toes next time? 
It's also nice how we get a close up version of her in the background with a slightly different expression!

Oh they are shoes? Sorry I thought she had.. um "skin socks" XD (that's what my friend called it when I once skipped the toes on a character <<')

OMG THIS IS SO PRETTY AND AWESOME
First off, the way you color is so unique! I cant really put my finger on it, but it REALLY looks nice~!
I totally wasnt expecting this kind of picture! And yet...IT WORKS SO WELL! VERY relevant to the song as i can see this kind of scene happening in the opening sequence
And that light shining into the ocean like that? Pure awesomeness and wonderful idea And the fact that you have her afterimage slightly opening her eyes like that puts SO much more meaning than just having her eyes closed like the original--and this was a smart decision.
Btw, ur handwriting is really pretty Fits really well with the tone of the pic~

I also think this is one of my best <3 though it didn't take that long...well the character didn't took long and for the rest I just played a bit xD what really annoyed me were the air bubbles...
