This is a winter landscape, like winter at the upstate property which my family had until the passing of my father in 2003. We were seldom up in winter, because the winter was too cold. We sold the property and now I alone remain.

The mythos story "The Return of the Sorcerer" written by Clark Ashton Smith and one of the few not set in fabulously remote past or future eras, or alien worlds, involved the title sorcerer returning as a revenant, first as re-animated body parts and finally as a complete reanimated corpse, despite an involved exorcism ritual found in the Necronomicon, to kill his killer...
