It's a shame, because the mood of this piece is spectacular. Whether you were aware of this or not, the color scheme of the brick matches and goes well with that of the adorable puppy's fur, showcases her beautiful ocean eyes as it adds a beautiful effect to the photograph. For me at least, it brings not only a feeling of calmness, but there is something wonderfully subtly wary about the piece. I can easy imagine the puppy being nervous about the camera, and I can almost get a sense of what she's feeling due to the overcast of the day. This certainly would not have had the same effect for me if taken on a beautiful sunny afternoon! The photograph finds a perfect harmony between your art and your subject's personality, without being tremendously boring, which is very hard to do with your subject matter. It's beautiful. The reason why I mentioned that this was a shame isn't because your subject matter is in the direct center (which is usually something to avoid but you pulled off amazingly well), or the focus (which you also achieved well), but because of the "black hole" in the top left corner of the photograph. It ruins the mood, and takes away from the photo. If the shadow weren't there, the first thing I would notice would be the dog's eyes, and then the full mood of the piece would hit me. But instead, the first thing I saw was that shadow, and it was a clumsy transition to the way the photograph was meant to be seen. If the shadow weren't there, I honestly feel as though this would be one of the best dog photos I've seen recently, and for me, it's devastating to see such an astounding photo have such a fatal flaw.
However, to fully realize the beauty of this piece, I love the photo, despite the flaw. It's just sad to see such a great shot come off as unprofessional when it could have easily been avoided by moving that object away.

Thank you, In this one I honestly did want to move that. Although, It was actually a large treadmill my grandfather owns, and I was not strong enough to move it myself.
