Finally did the timeskip version XDI toyed with the idea of really changing him... --> [link]
but Momo isn't Momo unless he's the sweet innocent Momo. I'm not going to even attempt to make him a darker character. he's just... not.
Oh my little Momo has come a long way...
And well, as you can see here, he really really admires his Daddy! But who wouldn't if your Dad was the most badass ninja in village?! and the possible reincarnation of the village founder, who just so happened to be the creator of the Heart stone, which Momo happens to be the incarnation of?

I hope Buntaro feels so too... though I suppose if one is going to marry their daughter off a father can't ask for anyone better than Momo... who is going to ask for her hand soon... or maybe he already did. idk... i imagine little tiny Momo kept hearing people talk about his mom and dad not being able to marry and then asks Eimi what that is, and she tells him it's something two people do when they want to make a promise to spend the rest of their lives together. and well Momo of course has already decided that he wants to spend the rest of his like with Amiri, so he walks up to Buntaro and asks him if he can marry her

I dare think that Buntaro will consider the son of the village Kage as a fitting match for his daughter. Obviously and given what he and Azami lived he would explain Momo that what matters most is to be sure that they both love each other and that final decsion will be Amiri's and no one else.
If Momo goes on teh speech I will love her and protect her and such he may even hug the little one (and ask Azami for another kid later on, lol)
