Description
Life-size Space Marine Bolter from the Warhammer 40k universe made from wood, blood and stuff. Finished, now I have to learn to live again. I will post more pics in the next few days but yeah it’s big, heavy and consumed a few months of my spare time. The only thing not done on it is a trigger, I have not found anything that will look “cool” so I am leaving it out for the time being but basically it’s done with only minor detailing left. Well this is just beautiful! Especially the handle and that two-headed eagle. I especially love the way that it looks alot like real metal. What kind of painting technique and coating did you use? Those pipes are most impressive. i just hope we can see something like this again in the future. Keep it going!

Hey thanks man. I did not use any real fancy paint techniques, just spray paint, but the “chrome” parts I painted, sanded, painted, sanded, added a hint of black paint until it looked well aged and yet still metal. I need to put a new picture of it up because I have changed it some, added a few missing details, but I have not had time to take pictures. I am trying to work on another one, something original in design that is taking my love of sci-fi weapons and making it look cool, and something smaller. Oh and the handle was the most fun part to make and sand, made two others before I found a way to make it that looked good. Anyway, thanks again man, rock on.

Well I am not sure how much it would cost to buy one, I did not keep real good track of how much this one cost to make. I have had several people ask but this was just a personal project for the fun of it, but come the first of the year I am thinking of making another maybe even two so I will consider it when I have the time again. Rock on.

Hey thanks. Unfortunately it does weigh a ton, I had to make a strong enough wall mount for it in fact. I hope to make another one soon but plan on making it lighter if I can, there where a few things I should have done with this one but forgot. Oh well next time. Rock on.

I am sorry if my question is a bit on the amateur side but i have to ask : Is it a bolt gun or a bolt pistol ? Yes i know it is quite big and probably a bolt gun however a SM has completely different standards the normal men .

Hey thanks glad you like it. It would be a bolt gun as you say, I made it kind of Space Marine size so its far larger than anything I would want to carry on a regular basis. Bolt pistols are normally one handed so yeah and holding this with one hand is out of the question. So anyway rock on.
