The butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.

A few months ago there was this game called Until Dawn that seemed to be very popular. I couldn't play it so I watched others play the game. I really liked it and the meaning behind it. Basically you make decisions which will affect the outcome of the game. Depending on your choices, a character could die or the relationship between characters could change by either bringing them closer or further apart. Once you already make a choice, you cannot go back and whenever a significant decision happened, a butterfly would appear. I thought it was odd that a beautiful butterfly would pop up on such a 'dark' game. I looked it up to find that the game play was based on the butterfly affect.

A few weeks after that, one of my classes brought up a similar theory. I thought this concept was very interesting and I wanted to make something out of it.

I hope you guys like it I know butterflies have many other meanings behind it but it was made based on the chaos theory. You can still see it any way you want Let me know what you guys think of it and other meanings butterflies mean to you!
