The Bronze Dawn was one of the most infamous magical organizations of history.

During the Classical Aigburth Era, the Dweomer Union underwent a crisis. A splinter group of wizard decided that they would use the power of magic to reshape the world to their will, and formed the Bronze Dawn. They had no qualm about using taboo or forbidden magic such as bioalchemy, necromancy and domination.

The ensuing war has many names, the Great War, the Aigburth Civil War, the Dweomer Civil War. It ended in an Aigburth victory thanks to the help of the Tannhauser Knights and the mages of the Dweomer Union, but the war greatly harmed Aigburth and the end of the war only led to the Aigburth Dark Age.

Bronze Dawn Lords, the most powerful and highest-ranking mages of the organization, would deliberately transform themselves into bloated, mutilated monsters, and had no qualms about abusing recreational or performance drugs. This was part of their ideology. Their grotesque forms showed that they completely rejected the common man's values such as beauty, and it doubled as a show of their power: only magical strength mattered, physical strength was meaningless. There is nothing more humiliating than having your ass kicked by an obese man with no legs and with withered arms.
