How did you manage to keep the colors of the flower? Is there a built in color filter for your camera (which I kinda miss from mine) or did u use the lasso tool to select it, inverse select and desaturate the rest?

no. the camera is grey and the flower is white and yellow, so if you saturate the image, the yellow comes out but the grey stays grey. i didnt manipulate the image except for the levels and saturation. also, never use the lasso tool if you want to saturate something. use masking or other techniques. lasso tool is way too chopy.

I like the contrast between the softness of the flower and straight lines you achieved in the background. And it's a nice effect: the partly covered sign.
