Wish I had enough time too, so much great art to admire.
The fractal community is indeed impressive. I know that some artists keep secrets, but the majority are incredibly helpful. Personally think it's something more recent and mainly within the MD3D artists. During my previous period at DA (MB3D did not exist), it wasn't the same.

Perhaps the ability and will to share parameters has added a social dimension to creativity(?) Ponging too!

No doubt! I'm always amazed about how many people from different countries and cultures get along so well. There's hope indeed for this world. Social networks, not to mention YouTube, are filled with aggression, it makes me sick. Many people think that insulting is so easy when shielded behind a computer's screen. It happens at DA too, perhaps to a lesser extent, but I've seen it.
The fractal community is largely an example of well being. Perhaps it's because of the software we must handle!
