There is a story behind the handprint on the door. When I was about 4 I was wandering round my grandmother's place and found a paint bucket someone had left in the sun without the lid. It had formed a thick skin which I ended up playing with until it violently burst. My parents took me into the laundry and cleaned me there. I left the handprint while that was happening.
