To find your inner artist you have to find your way first. Get inspired by other Artists and have fun!
Before I tell you how to find your inner artist, I want to speak a little bit about inspiration. We all need inspiration to let out our inner artist. An Art block won´t help us at all.
So, what is inspiration? Who gives us inspiration? Inspiration is hard to describe. We all have different views about it. Others see inspiration in music and others look up to amazing artists like Leonardo da Vinci (Italian pronunciation: [leoˈnardo da ˈvintʃi] * April 15, 1452 - † May 2, 1519).

Tips how to get inspired: Turn your music on, go out to see the nature, have fun with friends, look up to other artists (But do not copy their ideas) or stories.

But that's only my view, I asked 2 artists about their view, 'What is inspiration for them'.

Question: What is inspiration for you?

» To me is an inspiration is someone you look up to. A helpful person who is always there for you.
For my drawings, I´m inspired by many factors. I watch amazing artists like ikr , orichie and nyorinyori . Their art is a way better as my own, but they inspire me to get better, to try harder. I don´t make myself down like "I will never have this amazing talent". We all got an amazing talent hidden in us, but without the will to try hard, it won´t come out.
But there are also factors like music, friends and movies/documentation shows. Musics are amazing for day dreamings. And the day dreamings show you a short film of a happening you could draw down. You also can draw down a friend scene. Maybe you jumping on your friends back. It is simple, but the work and feeling you put into it makes a simple drawing beautiful and unique. «

» Inspiration is something that causes you to want to create. Inspiration can come from many different places. I gather inspiration from Jesus, the surrounding scenery, and from my experiences with different people. For me, that's what gives me the drive to draw. That and what I do that gives me inspiration is a passion. If you have a passion, inspiration will find you. Happiness is the key to success. Inspiration is the motivational tool that drives you to create something to fuel the passion that you have. «

Thanks alot for explaining the word inspiration! But now we have to jump to our actual topic, the inner artist.

We know now how to find inspiration. But how can we find our inner Artist? There are 10 tips to find your inner artist:

Find your inner Artist Tip #1:

Not everyone is a painter or a Picasso, but everyone is an artist. Visual arts are just one facet of artistic expression. Some people find their outlet in music, writing, dance, photography, cooking, sewing, styling hair, doing makeup…there are limitless ways to create. Try all of them you can think of, and then come back to what was most fun.

Find your inner Artist Tip #2:

Cut yourself some slack, and give yourself the permission to be crazy. No one has to see your creations but you, so if you want to paint a picture of a giant worm in a Corvette or write a poem about tofu, do it! Learn to take risks, and let yourself color outside the lines.

Find your inner Artist Tip #3:

Crank up the music. Music is art, and filling your ear holes with your favorite sounds, whether they are techno beats or classic symphonies, will lift your spirit and maybe even set you on a course of creative production.

Find your inner Artist Tip #4:

You don’t need to spend money on a lot of equipment or tools to get creative. Buy a big box of crayons and a coloring book, or better yet, a blank drawing pad. This will set you back all of five bucks; think about how happy your five year-old self would have been with this new treat. Sit down once a day and see what transpires, even if you are just coloring Sponge Bob bright blue.

Find your inner Artist Tip #5:

Get into nature. Go to the beach, the forest, the mountains or the park for inspiration. You don’t have to hike with an easel, just soak in the peace and tranquility that comes with fresh air and green spaces. Let the beauty flow through you, and bring those memories to the forefront of your brain the next time you sit down to create.

Find your inner Artist Tip #6:

What did you love to do as a child? Did you spend hours drawing insects, or planning your party outfits, or playing in the dirt? Give it another try. If you lose complete track of time, you are onto something and you may have found your passion. Go with it.

Find your inner Artist Tip #7:

Surround yourself with artists, creative types whose goals in life are not bigger cars and houses, but rather to express themselves and to add beauty to the world. Their unique perspectives on life and art will rub off on you.

Find your inner Artist Tip #8:

Look for inspiration. Go to museums of all varieties, street festivals and art walks; stop to watch that painted street performer or the old guy sculpting a sandcastle. Art is everywhere, you just have to open your eyes sometimes to see it.

Find your inner Artist Tip #9:

Grab your camera and get your photo on. Taking pictures is an easy way to put your frame on the world, and you probably already have the equipment you need. Use your photos to inspire oems, paintings, or a crazy crayon drawing.

Find your inner Artist Tip #10:

Have fun! Contrary to popular belief, art does not have to be a serious endeavor. Learn to laugh at yourself and your efforts when your masterpiece comes out more like a mud flap. No matter what, enjoy the creative journey and you will always win.

Love the article Lots of things I have not thought of before and some things I am doing but didn't even realize were techniques to keep me inspired.
You asked, "How can you find your inner Artist?" Well, I find mine in dreams (day dreams and those at night) All the things I have seen, mistaken images, sounds, collages of memories all come out in weird ways. Sometimes the dreams are so vivid and something I can actually make so off I go, while at other times I can only wish I could make this or that (in which case a little internet research if I think its within my pocket book means.) From all those, certain things excite me more than others. I often feel like I really enjoy coming up with cool ideas, but its very depressing to have to dismiss all the really cool ones I can't make (such as music, animated videos, metal and wax sculptures, etc) but that's okay cause I have WAY more dreams than I can ever make anyway.

Yeah even back when I first learned to crochet, I would have crazy dreams of me making stuff of my own design. Back then I don't think I could have since I knew so little about the stitches and things, nowadays, I have much more room to experiment away with as I have a better grasp of what would work. Dreams just keep coming though. I feel really driven to make a metal and wax sculpture depicting an image I have in my head, but my lack of skills is getting in my way, lol. I may have to resort to paying someone who can do it. No idea how much that would cost though.
