I've defined them as something ancient Asari warriors wore (Huntresses).
Hence why Samara wears them as part of her Justicar outfit as that's still very much following the old ways of her people.
Liara being a scholar of ancient history might find some solace in wearing them too, especially in the war.

Yeah I've had to use maybe five different tutorials and smoosh them all together to have any success at all. Currently I'm not using Blender at all because I've only had success using 3DS Max
