Description

"...riding on the clouds, shining like the sun, at the trumpet's call! Life your voice, (it's) the Year of Jubilee, and out of Zion's hill Salvation comes!" I love that song 'Days of Elijah'! It really portrays how Jesus will return to Earth before Judgement Day - coming not as a humble servant, but as a GLORIOUS King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!

You can listen to the song here:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca9Lnz…

anyway, here's just a little something I whipped up. So full screen please, too

*Edit 25th May 2019* I know a lot of people have recently favourited it, but I thought the text needed re-doing (and increasing the 'Deviation's' size) - hope you like it!

I love that song too!

I have a little song concerning His coming also that God gave me, it starts out:

"First He came as the Lamb of God to die for our sins,
Now as the righteous judge He's coming back again!"

(There's more lines, but I don't remember them off the top of my head.)

Oh cool, nice one!

As this was one of my very first pieces of work on here, at that time I didn't think about using and saving what I've done in layers, so I'm unable to improve it/update it, or re-use it for another Deviation that I had in mind (and I no longer have the program I used to make it either)

The song also reminds me of a line in one of my all-time favourite songs, called 'Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)' by Casting Crowns - it's truly the Gospel in a song :

"One day the trumpet will sound of His coming
One day the skies with His glory will shine
Wonderful day my Beloved one bringing [or as my church sings: "my BelovΓ©d returning" ]
My Saviour Jesus is mine"

O Glorious Day (song)I just love this song - and the song lyrics are just about perfect too; it's like the Gospel in a song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xODpgyqGCYMOne day when Heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
Dwelt among men, my Example is He!
Word became flesh and the Light shined among us,
His glory revealed!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He's comingβ€”O glorious day!
One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He.
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me!
And one day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now he's ascended, my Lord for evermore!
Death could not hol

oh! You still might be able to choose another picture and make the improvements you wanted. Most of my pictures I add wordsΒ to I do in 'Paint', which isn't the best program as most of the time when I use that I'm stuck with some kind of colored background behind the text which blocks out more of the picture than I'd like, but there are probably other programs out there.

Yes, I am familiar with that song and band too! I love songs that contain the gospel in them! So encouraging!

Anyway, it's good to hear from you! What have you be up to? (If you don't mind me asking.)

Ps. The idea I've been having with this picture has a bit of a problem - by theologically how people on here are going to perceive this as thinking that God has failed at His Word (because they'll not understand it from the view of the Rapture, nor the raising of the dead at the Last Day).

When I had this idea, I hadn't actually looked at the Scripture verse which will say what'll happen when Jesus returns - until now. I'll share it with you, and then you'll see my problem:
Revelation 1:7
"Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen.People will say that Jesus hasn't come back in the time that even those who crucified Him are going to see Him, so I'm not sure what to do

Ironically, I've JUST found a program (which is free only for today [Monday 12th Feb]) that does the job of removing things you don't want from a picture! From a site called Giveaway of the Day : "Soft Orbits Photo Retoucher" - www.giveawayoftheday.com/soft-…

But as I said, it is/was only for today - but sometimes these giveaways come around again [eventually] if you miss it this time. They do occasionally have some good giveaways on that site, but I don't download and install every single one or anything like that.

The reason why I said I no longer have the program I used to make it was partly because I don't actually remember how I did the lighting/'sun rays' ("Christ rays", lol) effect - and the programs I've got now don't seem to be able to recreate that effect.

The absolute best free image editor that I use (which isn't as complicated as the free Gimp program) is called Paint.NET: www.getpaint.net/ - that is an absolute must use to replace MS Paint With it, you can put everything into layers [like I was saying], and it's a really powerful and versatile program! You'll be abe to use it for your recent Psalm 19:1-4 Deviation

I don't mind you asking really Every 2nd Saturday of the month I volunteer at a woodland conservation group (which our woods are literally down the bottom of our Lane - through a narrow passage), which we are called the 'Friends of Shirtcliffe', and last Saturday was our workday; some of us cleared logs and branches from the brook, and I helped with the litter-picking.

Oh I see!

I wasn't sure if I could use Paint.NET on my computer since it is an HP? (Also, it looks like there was a four dollar charge when I was looking into it, which isn't bad if it could actually help me have transparent text boxes to where you just see the text and picture below it, which is my biggest issue with Paint.)

Thanks for sharing that! That sounds like fun! I volunteered before to helpΒ dig a trail for a park. It's nice to get outside and improve parks!

Yep! It doesn't matter what computer you use (you can even get it for the Mac if you're using one: www.paintnetformac.com/ ), it should work from Windows 7 to 10

4 dollars charge? Unless you're trying to install it through the Microsoft Store (which they'll charge on there), it's absolutely free! Here's the download link: www.getpaint.net/download.html…

will he be wearing chainmail, or plate armor?

ServantofJesus In reply to mrdean [2005-01-12 14:33:53 +0000 UTC]

well, it doesn't exactly say specifically, but it does explain HOW He will come (KJV):

It will be literal:
Acts 1:9-11 "[9] And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. [10] And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; [11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven."

It will be visible:
Revelation 1:7 "Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen."

It will be audible:
Matthew 24:30-31 "[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory; [31] And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

The trumpet will sound! And it's going to sound so loud it will even penetrate the graves!

I Thessalonians 4:16-17 "[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

there's LOTS of info on the second coming here: [link]

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Why would Jesus [who is God the Son] need a literal sword?

I think I'll leave it at that for now (mainly because I can't think of a good answer for that )
