^^ Inspired by one of the new mangas I bought recently, I wanted to do a ballroom scene... just for the hell of it. So, I thought, where would I put a ballroom dance? Duh.. the Demon Realm Saga, of course. And, who better then my most favorite nagas, Jim and Opal. I used the excuse to play with their extreme size difference.

And just for the record, Jim isn't a child, he's 21 years old, and actually a rather averege size for an egg-laying naga (on my planet, Avalon, n-e-way). Opal is just that HUGE!! Which is not typical of live-birthing nagas. While live-birthers are always larger then egg-layers, they normally don't get any larger then 6 feet. Opal is a monsterous 9 feet tall, 12 feet when he stands fully erect on his tail. I did this to add to the depth of Opal's mental illness and confussion, seeing he believed for 23 years he was a female. Yep, I twicked Jim's hair color again, made it a closer shade to Cedar's.

As for the image itself. It takes place in the story, "Favorite" when Jim and Opal first meet. This is the first royal... ball or whatever, that they attend together as lovers. The night that will seal Opal's obsessive devotion to his moon prince. They ballroom they are dancing in is the one in the Lunar South (Jim's kingdom). The "castle" of King Cedar anf his two princes is actually a mantion called "Serpent Manor". The royals of the south have an aritrocratic civilation, rather then the japanese style of the west, the egyptain sytle of the east, or the greek/roman style of the north.
