this was the final for my painting class, a self portrait. I tried using a photo reference at first but didn't like the direction it wsa going, so I used a mirror and did it freehand. I went kinda wild with the color theory, but I like how it turned out.20X24 acrylic

haha, thats what my mom said. I guess I got frustrated when I was doing it and since it was off a mirror, it ended up in the painting

thanks, I was trying to use some color theory I'd learned in a previous class. well, that and I was intimidated by trying to match flesh tone realistically

And indeed this makes me jealous! But so does the work of nearly every other "serious" artist.
By my reasoning that means my body should be liquified and sprayed on schoolyard children. At least I will die with dignity.
