This reminds me of the old, chipped painted walls of the boats in the museum I worked in one summer. It feels as though the key has been embedded directly into the piece of wood. Gorgeous and mysterious.

Do you mean having this tiled, or having the whole wall painted like the background with just one key? I think either could work (if the tiling was done isometrically)...

Ah yeah I was thinking that, just the one key, would it be scaled, so the key is really big, or left as a small thing for someone to find? An ironic search, or an entertaining wall?
