Your art has stolen my heart This is so perfect, the textures and colors and movement.. Your birds also have perfect shape, a lot of times it's hard for me to get the head right on the body, especially in simpler drawings. Sorry for commenting so much, hope you don't mind!

I don't know if this helps without a diagram but I draw birds with an egg shape in mind and add the head almost like a smaller egg keeping the body about three times larger than the head. It varies of course but I thought I would give a rough estimate in proportion size.
