What a fool I've been,
Waiting for you to come

What games I played,
Believing in fairytale love,
eternal and absolute
What truth I found,
When I finally learned
I was alone.

That's quite beautiful, and comes to a very positive ending.
I suppose it works today, even if then it seemed so far away, that future.

The funny thing about life is, we may be able change what we did and there isn't any "turning back" points, but we can shape our futures so we never repeat the mistakes of the past and move on to a future that we want.
Life is life, and it always moves forward. Don't worry about what's coming in the future, just think of the present, the here and now. That's my piece
