Seems to me like Set is making a fast and steady come back, though.

Personaly I don't beleave the Osiris myth one bit. It doesn't fit right. And what with the polatics of the time, it seems to me like propaganda for Horus' temple wich declaired him the 'one god above all others' and persecuted anyone who refused to honor him above the rest. They massacred the ancient Temple of Set and destroyed all of his preist's teachings. Mighty suspicious, isn't it?

Hmm, very interesting. I wonder if it was based on a true ancient Egyptian art in a tomb somewhere?

Certainly is rare to see Horus and Set getting along.

Hey there! How are you? Are you selling many items of Set the Destroyer over at Cafe Press?

Yes, the Hollywood mural is supposedly based on art from Tuthmoses' tomb, but I've yet to find the original. And you're right, it is rare to see them getting along.

Hey Juliet!

Sadly, I'm not selling much of him. He doesn't rate in popularity like Anubis or Bast does.

Thanks for info on the mural. That's good to know. Very interesting!

I guess, in a sense, the prohibition lives on; too bad about that.

The mural is quite interesting. If you ever get to LA, you can see it in person.

Couple of related things about Set (I was checking out your Set Sighting web site)...

Do you ever recall seeing a made for TV movie called Young Sherlock Holmes? [link]

I vaguely remember that the bad guys was this Egyptian cult, but I can't remember if they worshiped Set or not.

Also, did you ever see the illustration for Set in the latest Dungeons and Dragon's Deities and Demi-Gods book? It's a fantastic illustration. [link]

I haven't seen YSH, so I've added it to my Netflix queue. I've seen the D&D image before, but it's not on SetSightings. I'll be correcting that! Thanks so much!

Yeah, I can't recall if the cult worshipped Set per se, but I do remember that it was an Ancient Egyptian cult.
