I was there from July to August for a whole month this summer that just passed. I went up during the Rocksteady reunion and i passed by super quick for the meeting of styles but had alot of plans that had me torn.
I mainly went for love and friends and hiphop lol.

I used to bboy a couple of years ago but I quit because I wanted to focus on graffiti.
But I still follow a little bit of the scen and some of the crews over the internet..
I used to be in a crew but all of my friends quit dancing.

Its hard to do both but i think they compliment me, i guess if i wanted to go extreme i would have to put either one on standstill, but as for now they help each other flow.
Im more proud of my graff than bboying but its a preference thing.

We only danced in our town, and we were far from famous haha.
For us it was just a friends / hobby thing, nothing too serious.
I know Ground Zero crew. Here in NL we have a couple of good crews but hiphop here is too diverse I think.. I'm not really into hiphop anymore like I used to be.

Hiphop is diverse how? In the way its expressed or location distance wise?
Hiphop is a loose term i think, i love culture but hiphop is a strong influence on that.
Its like the gateway culture to all others.

In the way it's expressed here (and probably in most other western countries). Only few seem to know the origins of hiphop and how it evolved. Of course hiphop is a broad term but I have never heard a good definition of what hiphop really is. 4 elements just does not make much sense to me (anymore). I don't have that 'culture' feeling because a culture brings like minded people together. But that's not always how it is over here..

4 elements doesnt do it any o fits justice, it is a very abstract and complex idea if you ask me. In simplest terms i can say it is a state of mind, way of thinking mixed with a style of how you do anything. Its fun to try and define it, i just do what i do really.
I think hiphop is not unified we all carry our private hiphop but it works i guess.
