I built a moth "trap" -not really a trap-just a few lights hanging around a white curtain. I get hundreds of moths (and other bugs)-then I have to pick the ones I don't have or need new photos of.

Plus I've got my hubby catching some at work-he works the night shift and gets bored. I catch what is in town and he gets stuff in a wooded area. There is one really bright light where he works.

So between us we get some nice stuff. Recently I had to teach him a big lesson--only ONE moth per jar!

Try it-hang out and light and sheet (white) They say different types of lights draw different types of moths. I use a bug zapper light bulb, a plant light, daylight bulbs and a 100 watt incandescent and sometimes a black light-I only need a mercury vapor light now.

A note book with a cloth cover. Fun part is getting them to sit still on it.

I was wondering did ya paint your porch that color for a cool background.

Nope-just a book. My porch is a horrid yellow with brown trim..came with the house--but now it's getting covered with plants so it's not so yellow.
