Nothing more to say; something I did over the winter break.I kind of figured out the tone, but the composition is bad.
Ma Chao is my favorite character, because his luck just sucks as hell. He was born a warrior, but seldomly being trusted, and almost everyone had some ill will against him = =+
But Jin Ma Chao is always the best!

no. I had draft in pencil, and scanned it to computer, did lineart in photoshop.
I practicing how to draw directly in photoshop, though. It takes a long time...

Ma Chao is the greatest character in that game... I just love him, and I love this picture. You did a really good job on his expression.. He looks so sad and thoughtful at the same time. The details are really nice, as are the flowers, too.

Ma Chao is my favoritest Shu character. Though people make fun of him since he keeps spouting nothing but Justice. @___@; (People have their flaws) Though, since the 3rd game (as that was the first DW game I played) I could never tell what he looked like underneath that helmet. The 3rd game, though I liked his dragon armor the best in that game, made him look almost bald. I must say though, he looks alot better the way you drew him. ^__^
Kinda makes you wonder though... Why he would have light colored hair and eyes if he lived in ancient China, where everyone had Black Hair and Black Eyes. >.>

One reason is that Ma Chao was half Qiang -- which was a Chinese minority of the west side. A couple of Chinese minorities possess lighter colored hair (like some of the Uygurs). It kind of give people something to imagine or fancy about.
But Ma Chao's hair was indeed black like all Chinese people. lol Blonde makes him look really cute though~~XD
The Japanese vocal has a little "crying noise"(like the noise in your voice when you're about to cry) to it. I think it's really really cute~~love!!!

I never heard the Japanese vocal, though I wish Dynasty Warriors had an option to listen to everything with japanese voice overs instead of english. Especially in DW3 (which was the first game I played). Their battle cries were in japanese, but everything else was in English, really bad english dubbing *shudders*.
But I never knew that about the Chinese minorities. Interesting tidbit. Ma Chao does somehow look natural with blonde hair.
