My contribution to 's art jam, and finished just in time for Halloween.I got the idea to this drawing when I noticed that Marilyn's gentle giant friend meek looks a bit like the Golem from Paul Wegener's silent movie Golem: How He Came Into the World. This inspired me to draw Marilyn and some of her friends dressed as Expressionist silent film creatures for Halloween.
So here is Marilyn dressed as Robot Maria from Metropolis (1927), Meek as the Golem from the above-mentioned movie, and Nathan as Cesare the Sleepwalker from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919). Pictured in the back is my lame attempt at imitating expressionist film sets.

I think this makes a lot of sense because a lot of the characters and elements in Marilyn's world are inspired by the old German Expressionist films.
